More than 1.6 million people in the UK are currently unemployed, and over 2.3 million more are underemployed. Despite this, 56% of employers have experienced recruitment difficulties due to skills shortages.
Whether you are unemployed, wanting to earn more or looking for a career your love, it’s challenging to find a job without the necessary skills or experience.
Bootcamps teach technical skills in high-growth, in-demand sectors. Students have the opportunity to develop the competencies required to start a new career.
Who can apply?
Previous experience is not necessary; the main requirements are motivation and determination.
There are few limitations to applying, but students must be aged 19+ and eligible to work in the UK. If applicable, students may continue claiming benefits.
Students on previous bootcamps have been:
- Career changers
- Part-time or zero-hours contract workers
- Returning to work after a career break
- Recent Graduates
- In low-paid, unskilled jobs
Providers across the UK have received funding to train students in different regions. For example, novi.digital’s Digital Marketing Skills Bootcamp is open to students located in the North West of England.
A small number of Bootcamps have additional criteria; for example, they may be exclusive to underrepresented minorities. Most courses (including ours) are open to all, but particularly welcome applications from diverse backgrounds and are committed to equality.
